The Medical, Scientific and Educational Foundation of New York, Inc. is a not-for profit corporation focused on providing quality medical review services throughout New York State and Nationally. It is our mission to "support the concept of local physician medical review and patient advocacy throughout New York State and the Nation by developing and implementing innovative Utilization Review, Quality Assurance and Educational programs for the practitioner, payor and patient communities".

When it comes to health care delivery, Infection Control education is essential. Measures to prevent the transmission of disease in health care settings have evolved over the years and as such, this state-mandated infection control certification course, with six elements total, includes the most updated information from the New York State Department of Health. Elements three and five of this medical education training program contain important and revised information in regard to engineering/work practice controls and the creation/maintenance of a safe environment for patient care, respectively.
